Thumbs up, Payton, for a memorable season...And better luck next year.
After seeing Indy's wild-card performance, the betting public all across America will gladly bet on Payton and Colts defence (?) again next week. The same guy who choked in every big playoff game in his career and the same defense that allowed 57 pts in two games vs Denver, and 31 pts vs San Diego in last three weeks.
How fast we forget...
I will be pounding the Pats in this matchup until Payton finally proves that he can beat Belichick's defense. He is 0-5 vs Belichick's Pats, and he was actually outplayed by Brady in those games. In last two head-to-head meetings, Indy scored 24 (this season - 3rd worst with Manning as QB this year) and 14 (last year's playoffs - 2nd worst of the season).
The Pats are an EXCELLENT home team, especially in December and January, winning 19 straight regular/post season home games and 19 of 22 home games in Dec/Jan (17-3-2 ATS).
New England will get the job done - again.
